Bob Holloway

Bob Holloway is the lead singer of The Southern Sons of Memphis. He has been with the group since its inception more than 30 years ago.

Holloway is a Christian disciple at Brown Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Bartholomew Orr. He is a very active participant in Christian Education and other church activities, for which Pastor Orr describes him as “GOD’s Master Armor Bearer.”

Singing has been an immense element in Holloway’s life, and it has helped him spiritually. More importantly, GOD’s Word has been a sustaining force in Holloway’s life journey. The proclamation stated in Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in The LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding,” has guided him to sing with The Southern Sons of Memphis for over 30 years.

Holloway affirms that his purpose in life is “to sing praises unto The LORD.” He defines Gospel music as soul-satisfying, and singing in a quartet provides an opportunity to meet Holy Spirit-filled people.
